2004 Anniversery GT
The 40th Anniversary Package also included a Spoiler Delete and the Convertibles came with the cloth roof from the Cobra instead of the regular Vinyl roof.
Crimson Red was only available on the 40th. The same colour was called Merlot on other vehicles in the Ford line-up.
They were only built August through November 2003.
Nice looking car in Crimson. They are fairly distinctive and the option didn't cost much more.

My rims are the 40th anniversary Bullitts. They call the color Arizona Beige. It has more of a champaign color, than a gold color.
Here's what they look like on my Mustang. I get a lot of compliments on them.

Yes, that's a real sign and YES.. not what it's suppose to say

Cool! I never even noticed the coloring of those wheels, even on previous pictures you've posted.
Yea.. it's really hard to tell sometimes with my car. In certain sunlights.. you can really tell the difference and if I'm parked next to someone else with the standard Buillits, you can see the difference too.
Plus.. I'm not sure if my rims are or aren't the true color they are suppose to be.
I got them from this performance shop a buddy of mine works at.. got all 4, with brand new Goodyear Directional tires for $475
They were never on a Mustang, but I'm wondering if they were a manufactors default. Not sure.

Sorry I have been away for a few months -- Anyway, I have one of the Crimson Red 40th Ed GT.
The color combination came as close as I figured I could get to my '66.
Convincing the wife was difficult!! I was finally able to convince her, but I had to compromise and get the automatic transmission.
So if I really want to have fun, I have to drive the '66!!

The 66 is wicked sweet, what driveline is in that? I love the spoiler delete look, reminds me of the notchs of the 80s and early 90s

I like your car amy, it could use a set of lowering springs........IMO
Looks great!

Yea.. I did have some C springs for awhile... But I'm worried about scraping. I bought my chin spoiler used and he has C springs on his car and my chin spoiler to scraped like crazy.
Plus.. the roads around here aren't the greatest.
Thanks for the compliment
It's pretty much a Mutt.. I just need a Cobra engine in it now
I like the look, but i always hated the power the V-6 didnt have. The old 300 Strait 6 is tough and torquey, but the newer ones are not fast, good for a daily mode of transport though.....how about an 03 cobra crate motor and tranny?? IMO

My 40th came from the factory and they are no where near as gold looking as the ones in the press release. In fact, I had a topic discussion on this when I got the car in Fall '03.
Sitting by itself, it just looks like the normal grey bullits, but next to a bullit, you can tell there is a difference.
I checked out your sig, GORGEOUS!

Thanks,
The '66 is a 289, 4 barrel, 4-speed Hurst. The engine is original, but it was originally a 2 barrell, 3-speed.
Very fun to drive!!!

I saw a 40th GT Convert. on campus last semester in the tailgaiting pit. You really have to see the Crimson Red in person to appreciate it. It's beautiful.
Brad's got quite a few pictures of it here:
