I bet the reason is that 2010s sell for way less money than 11-up models

Looks are subjective, a mach1 is no match to an S197 in performance.

The 2010 is faster, handles better, brakes better is more comfortable ...

I think in a straight line Mach 1 vs 05-10 is a drivers race, their outputs are about the same and Mach is lighter.

having driven both, I think the SN95 cars feel better to drive. The S197's are a lot bigger and feel much more distant.

Same here. My cobra feels more solid on the road, and feels a lot stronger than my friend's 06.

In my experience the S197s tend to put the power down better. In stock trim I'd say it is easier to drive over an sn95 too. The S197 is slightly heavier but also more solid

Oh I know that. That's just a personal opinion. No real basis behind it other then I would take a SN95 over and S197 any day. The way it drives, feels and the over all look of the SN95s, for me, is better. But it is all subjective.

I was thinking 2010 because they're less expensiv and I'd be able to throw alot more cash into it if I got that year. And right now my mach 1 with current mods has beaten an 05/09 GT pretty easily! I mainly like the look and ride of the the 2010, although the look of the Mach is pretty I think I could recreate it on the 10

Just get a 11-13 and throw all that cash into the payment, you'll regret passing up on that 5.0 and 6 speed for another 4.6 that's likely slower than your Mach 1.

^this

If not getting the 5.0, I don't see the need for an upgrade to a 10+ S197

That is a great looking Mustang. I have always been partial to the 2000 R's.
So it looks like it takes about 380hp at the wheels to run 171...I wonder what it would take to run 200?

It will take some hood pins!! The reason I let off was that the hood started doing the "Funky Chicken". I did average 153 for 2 laps.

That will start the pucker factor, I will bet!
Still, running flat out at talladega...Wow. I am a huge NASCAR fan anyway, and that really, would be a dream of mine.

Lost quite a few of mine when my HD crashed a couple months ago. I need to get her cleaned up and get some more pics, I just never think to do it when she's clean.
