Is it over or under rated. Most say mustang hp is over rated. But some say it's under rated.

I think it differs on when they're rated. Back in the late 60's, they waaaay underestimated the Boss 429's hp rating for insurance purposes.

Most stock 03 cobras dyno at 360ish at the wheels if you account for a 15% drivetrain loss that equates to about 425-430 hp at the flywheel. They were advertised at 390 flywheel hp, so yeah Ford under rates their engines

I agree with the 03-04 cobra but the GTs are right on the money, GM underated the LS1 big time those were rated at 305 but made closer to 330-340

Well it also depends on the wheel hp and the flywheel hp as to how much they advertise

Tacbear, I have always loved your car! It is very impressive what you have done with it. Great combination of looks and performance, I would love to do something similar with my 97 GT is I ever have the funds to do so.

I will NEVER put that kind of money in another car! The mods were over a 5 year period, but I don't know what I was thinking. It is good that I love my car. Every time I think I want to sell it all I have to do is crank it and go for a ride and I have no more desire to get a new Mustang. I know one day I will get a new one now that I am retired and can afford to pay cash for a Boss/Gt500 or what ever the next SE Mustang is going to be.

Why 2010? 11-14 not do anything for you?
