WILL 2005 GT RIMS FIT AN 04?
I heard someone say the new 2005 rims that are stock on the GT will not fit the pre 05 Stangs for some reason. Also looks like the tires on the 05 GT rims are 235s whereas the previous gen had 245s (which means the new tires are more narrow).
HELP!!! Thinking about buying some 2005 GT rims for my 2004 V-6. Will they fit!

I disagree. I think '05s will probably not fit too well on an S95. The offset on the '05 rims is +45mm, whereas on the S95's it is around +25mm. This means that taking an S95 rim and putting it on an '05 will cause it to the rims to stick out more. I am personally not a fan, but it will still drive okay. Conversely, if you put the '05 rims on an S95, they will set in quite a bit more. This could cause problems with clearance and the struts. At the very least, I would test it before I bought some. You could find yourself having a lot of rubbing if you aren't careful.

I tried to post some pictures here that show the chrome wheels on my 05 but for some reason the site won't accept them. If you look at my aviatar you'll see my car, and if you look close you'll see the chrome wheels.
While the swap worked well for me I agree that it would be best to ask questions about the wheels and any issues involved with installing them on your car.
This came from mustang parts.com. "We have about 8-10 sets of the new take off bullit style 2005 wheels
and tires..
fits the 1994-2004 by simply using a 1/4" or 1/2" spacer on the rear"

Right. I know that 94-04 rims will fit on an 05. I do not think you would have as much luck doing the reverse and putting 05 rims on a 94-04. Of course, with spacers, they would more than likely work.
