Reasons to buy a V-6

Well, a lot of people like to bash us for picking out the "wrong" engine. Well, here is a list I've compiled about why to buy a v-6
1. Lower insurance
2. Lower gas prices (near 2 bucks a gallon ouchies)
3. We get sideways when we want to. Not every time a raindrop hits the tires
4. Still all the speed of a v-8... just takes a bit longer to get up there ;-)
5. The base rims still look better then the v-8's (94-98)
6. THE MODS
7. The ability to still smoke a Honda still.
8. The fact it is still a mustang
9. Ponies still look better then a couple of letters
10. TORQUE BRAKES!
11. We get sideways when we want to. Not every time a raindrop hits the tires
And the most importent reason....
Most girls (and a lot of guys) can't tell the difference!

I like the V6 my wife has - IUP complete. With the exception of not having traction control and the design of the leather on the seats, out interiors match. An't nothin' wrong with the V6.

Insurance is not bad for me anymore. I'm only paying around $80 and that will even go lower soon. Just got phone call from my insurance company and they will lower my insurance.

Yeah, most girls can't tell the difference...all they see is that running horse...then they jump in.
No offense to the car girls out there....but I have a question for you...
Would a V6 make you not want to see a guy? Do you require GTs?

I was raised on horsepower. My Dad used to drag race in the 60's. He and my Grandfather helped me "build" my first 2 V8 powered automobiles, both of which were "SLEEPERS". What fun I had growing up.
I purchased my 2005 Mustang in Deluxe V6 Coupe configuration with only 3 options on it; automatic transmission (which is programmable), polished Premium Wheel's with Tri-Spoke spinners, and the exterior sport pkg (rear spoiler & rocker stripes). Most of all, I purchased mine on the X-plan thru work and didn't get screwed with the dealer markup.
I guess I may have been raised "old school" but now using new technology. Start with the bare necessities and make it "yours". Something most don't have enough "know how" to do or "own imagination" to dream.
I don't have the problems of the "Shaker" stereo system or the anti-lock braking system & traction control. My XM works fine with the base system and as far as stopping or traction I have driven mine in both rain, snow and some ice with no problems as long as you drive responsibly.
It's a MUSTANG, it started the pony wars and as of 2005 , the MUSTANG outlived its competition.
As far as V8 vs V6, I don't need either a V8 or GT emblem to make up for insecurities with the size of a man's "manhood"; mine is more than adequate!!! :-)

nice list kevin, V6 stangs will get you where you need to go just as fast(legally anyway) as you need to and they're enough to get goin' pretty fast...but remember dont bash the GTer's either (you didn't just advice incase someone gets carried away)

Once inside the car you can't tell if it is a GT or V6 (OK - the design of the leather seats gives it away). I love the sound of the GT - something you can't get with a V6. Granted, the pick up on the GT is great, but since I like to keep my money and insurance rates low, I've stopped having conversations along the interstate with smokies. I don't like the available wheels on the V6 (and replaced them two day after picking up the car).
GT guys that bash V6 owners are just not mature. The price difference between my V6 vert anf the GT I ordered (both have the same interior color/options, etc.) was $4718. That's a sizeable chunk of change and some folks want the car but also are a little better at money management...as in "what else could I do with that money." The difference for me got my house painted on the inside, landscaping finished on the outside, and a nice rug...it's good to be the king.
Let's all enjoy our new rides and stop bashing.

Dont think im bashing. Think of it more as a reminder as to why were the better people....
But yeah, it was just something I thought of off the top of my head and decided to post.
