I hate that I am even going to ask this questions but... How hard would it be to go from a 5 speed man to an auto? I looked through the sites and didn't see this covered yet. I bought my stang as a daily driver and love the car but remembered how much I hated driving a standard after I got it.

a lot more work then its really worth to go from 5spd to auto especially on a fairly new car , 2004 , you'd have to replace more then you really want to get into its more then just bolting up a transmission to the engine..auto to 5spd is another story though complicated but not as it would be to do 5spd to auto...to sum it up without getting into detail

Switching over would probably cost the same as trading in your 04 and getting another one. Its a very expensive and time consuming project.

I have had both in an 05. I like the auto better. Now I can talk on the cel drink my coffee or soda and not have to shift. Do not miss the stick shift at all.
