Are you located in the middle of nowhere or in the cities? It could be loose connection from the back of the head unit.

It sounds like you might have a loose connection between you head unit and antenna. It dosen't sound like it would be the head unit do to the fact it works while your not moving. I would definitely check the connections or it would be your antenna. Is it doing anything else or just the cutting in and out?

It just cuts in and out like im not getting any reception and i know theyers reception my dads car is fine and doesnt cut out or nothing it only however it only does it on certain channels like i can listen to a local stAtion and have it cut out but i can listen to a radio station in ontario canada lol it doesnt make sence... Its nor the station it self because it does it with other ones

sounds like wiring problem, my brother in law installed a kenwood HU himself, and the radio signal fades when he's driving, as for the wiring harness, you might not need it since you already have an aftermarket HU but I'm not 100% on that,

I would defiently try the antenna first you can buy one from any parts store for less then 30. It really dosent sound like it would be the head unit. And if you change it make sure you were getting a good connection everywhere.

As far as the wiring harness goes I just cut out the harness and soldered it to my speakers, but unluckily my door speakers don't work and that ain't the problem, if you have Mach 460 it sucks lol. Have to replace my 460 and run new wires to the front and rear.

The plastic trim should just pop off with a flat head screw driver
