Fuel gauge wolnt work

Recently I dropped my tank to replace my fuel pump on my 99 and my fuel gauge will move just a little tiny bit when my car starts and it just below E. What could be the problem?

Could be the float attached to the pump

Either the float or the wiring. I think there is a wire connector actually in the tank for the fuel level sender but cant remember for sure.

Either your float got a hole in it and no longer works, or the sender just stopped working. I doubt its anything else since it happened when you messed with the tank.

Shure your not out of gas?
