Rebuilt motor

Whats the average cost to rebuild a 5.0 motor thats built up?

explain built up? like has aftermarket heads/cam/intake that kind of stuff? what needs to done cylinders cleaned, new rings, bearings or bored?

It does depend on a lot of things. Does it need to be bored? Does the crank need to be turned or replaced? Does it need head work? Do you plan on replacing the intake and carb or one or the other? Do you want to go with a stroker kit? Are you going to go with new headers or use the stock exhaust? You will need some new hardware and a gasket kit. Will you be doing the take down and reassembly yourself or will you be paying someone to do it for you. If you do it yourself for the most part you could probably get it done for under 2k easy.
