Power Windows Failure

Anyone have any advice on possible failure to power windows? I've replaced the master switch and relay in the fuse panel. I do hear a clicking sound when engaging the switch. One note: When I first bought the car I removed the after market car stereo an havent to date replaced it. Hard to say if this is related since the car wasnt driven (except from my garage to my shop a couple of times) over the last couple of months. You love links to wiring diagrams or troubleshooting guides, etc. if anyone has them. Thx.

motors are known to fail but the wiring could be suspect. you can run direct power to it to run a test. here is the wiring diagram

Test light and probe the back of the switch.2 leads go to each motor. 1 power, 1 ground depending on up or down. They change when pressed up or down. Test light to ground should light up each prong either up or down position. That's a good starting point.

One of the more common faults is a bad ground. Could be an under dash issue... check your ground circuit... if the window motor tests good.

Could it be the fuse? My drivers side window stopped working and made the clicking noise when pressed. A couple months later it started working again. I'm still not sure what my problem was.
