Picking this up tonight

your idle problem could very well be the idle air controller.
Another thing to consider: Given the car was sitting over grass, take a good look at the underside of the car and clean up any rust. Hopefully nothing is badly rotted.
Have fun with your project!

My friend cleaned her up Friday after work and we took some pics. She really cleaned up nice. I will post the pics hopefully tonight after work. The idle is actually seeming to smooth itself out. Could have been that it just didn't run for so long. The reason it sat like that was b/c the previous owner was an older guy who had bought the car for the occational joy ride and really just didn't get around to it much so he just parked it off the driveway and covered it up. Anyway, my friend plans on continuing to clean her up, changing all the fluids etc over the winter and then putting her on the road next spring.
Lots of little minor problems to fix but nothing major so it should be fun for him. I will post the pics soon.
On a side note I was working on my fox project (91 LX Notch) this weekend and was finally able to get the drivshaft off. The bolts on the rear flange were stuck pretty bad but I freed them up with some liquid wrench. I am one step closer to getting the engine and trans out!

It's a manual trans and when I was driving behind him bringing the car home the wheels just looked as though they were wobbling all over the place. They just must have been totally lopsided from all the weight sitting on one part of the tire for so long.

Yea, unfortunatly he sold it about 2 years ago now. It was in good shape too...ran strong. Not a ton of mods but I know he had flowmasters and underdrive pullies on it.
