... and buying a 1998 Cobra. My wife said it was one or the other. So I made the "hard" choice and bought the Cobra. I pick it up this Tuesday or Wednesday. I just couldn't pass up a Cobra for $6000. Here are some pics of the car.

Those are not "R" wheels....they are factory '98 Cobra wheels....which are similar to but not the same as "R" wheels

Nice find and good deal! I think that's the cheapest I have seen a '98 Cobra in that condition sell for to date!

Absolutely nothing is wrong. The previous owner (the guy I am buying it from) is a retired gentleman who is into restoring older cars. He has a 1957 Bel Air that is to die for. He took outstanding care of this Cobra. But since he purchased a 1954 Bel Air he had to make room in his garage as moving the Cobra around got to be a pain in the ****. The guy is really cool and after spending quite some time looking this baby over, I just don't see that he would try to hide anything. I did a carfax on it as well, so I pretty well know what is what about the car. He has receipts for all maintenance done to the car too. Trust me, I am not one to throw around $6000, I did my homework first. I guess I just got lucky.

That depends what you want out of it. The basics, Cold air intake, shifter, exhaust will wake it up. If you want gears that will wake it up even more. It all depends how far you want to take it and how you are going to use it(ie: daily driver vs. weekend toy)
