Me, being big Kings fan, am really happy with this trade. Webber did had 21 pts and 10 rebounds, but because of him Sacramento was losing games. Last season Kings were best team in the NBA when Webber was injured. When he came back they started losing and they lost to T-Wolves in 2nd round of playoff. This year - same story. Kings also got Brian Skinner (great rebounder), Kenny Thomas (great rebounder) and Corliss Williamson, who used to play in Kings before. Kings had problems with rebounding, but with Skinner, Thomas and Williamson things should be better. They still can score a lot of points because of Stojakovic, Bibby, Mobley and Miller.

AI seemed happy with the trade, but until they start winning some games they are still just as bad a team.

Team with Chris Webber can't win. He's taking too many shots (last night 4-18) and he's slowing down the game. Kings are a lot better without them. Now only thing they have to do is trade Bibby. It would be nice to have Jason Williams in SAcramento again.

Sorry, but they would have to be absolutely crazy to trade Bibby!

Bibby was actually just named the player of the week, he runs that offense.

RPG 4.5

EFF +20.5

J. WILLIAMS

Most of the playmakers in the NBA always have either season high or career high when they play against Bibby. He doesn't know what word defence mean. In the past Christie was there to correct his errors, but now Christie is gone. Bobby Jackson is injured.

Last night Kings lost to Magic. Steve Francis scored 29 pts against Bibby. Few nights ago against Washington Wizards Gilbert Arenas scored 43. What kind of playmaker is that? Another thing is last night Bibby took 26 shots and scored 26 pts. Stojakovic took only 12 shots and scored 28 pts.

Last summer Lakers wanted Webber, Divac, and Bibby for O'Neal. Kings refused. BIG MISTAKE. Divac and Webber left anyway and Jackson i better than Bibby. If they did that trade, Kings would be unstoppable now.

p.c. Which playmaker would you rather have in the team?

JASON KIDD
PPG 14.1
RPG 6.9
APG 8.0
SPG 1.69
BPG .17
FG% .399
FT% .761
3P% .408
MPG 35.8

or

STEPHON MARBURY
PPG 21.1
RPG 3.0
APG 8.2
SPG 1.39
BPG .07
FG% .462
FT% .821
3P% .312
MPG 39.8

That's no surprise, Francis is a premiere player and Gilbert Arenas ranks top 10 in about 6 different categories this year. They are good players, and they rise above when met with a challenge. I'm not talking about the Shaq trade, that's would've/could've/should've. It would be foolish to trade Bibby for Williams NOW, which is what you implied in your second post. Especially since Jacskon can't seem to stay healthy.

Now, if I had to choose between Kidd and Marbury to be on my team, I'd choose Marbury. I'd love to have him team up with Yao and T-Mac :P

I'm gonna assume that you don't follow NBA at all because no one would ever chose Marbury over Kidd. Well, maybe Phoenix Suns would.

Here is an interesting story.

Few years back Kidd was playing for Phoenix Suns and Marbury was playing for New Jersey Nets. At that time Suns were one of the best teams in the NBA and Nets were one of the worst teams in the NBA. So Suns and Nets did trade and Kidd ended in Nets and Marbury ended in Suns. Since that day (its been 3.5 years) Nets played 2 NBA Finals and 1 Eastern Finals. Suns didn't even made the playoff in those 3 season.

That's how good Marbury is. He does have good numbers, but he stinks as a team player (similar to Chris Webber). No wonder Knicks (Marbury's team now) are last in worst conference in the East (Atlantic Division) even though Knicks have great players.

Bibby is not much different. Last season Bibby had 5.4 assists per game. Kings' center Vlade Divac had 5.3 assists per game. Center and playmaker to have almost same number of assists?

p.c. once again, against Orlando Stojakovic took 12 shots and scored 28 pts. Bibby took 26 shots and scored 26 pts.

Well you've assumed wrong, but it's not like I follow it religously or anything. A few years back? So how are Kidd and the Nets doing now? Kidd is not the same player he was a few years back. If Marbury had some good shooters around him, he wouldn't have to worry about scoring so much and could just concentrate playing the 1 pos. But hey, I can agree to disagree on who's the better player of the two nowadays.

Oh, no need to repeat anything said on a previous post, I get it. I wasn't comparing Bibby to Peja, or anyone else but J. Williams (the man you wanted back on the Kings in place of Bibby) that's all. I'd take Bibby over Williams any day and I think the Kings would too.

Nets lost 3 very good players during the summer, that's why they're not playing so good this season. Rogers and Martin left and Jefferson is injured. But even without them they're better than Knicks. Marbury does have good shooters. Kurt and Tim Thomas, Jamal Crawford, Allan Houson ... Who does Kidd have? Vince Carter and that it is.

Bibby may have good numbers, but he only pass the ball when he have to. For playmaker assists should be #1 job. But Bibby doesn't care about that. Bobby Jackson should be Kings' #1 playmaker. Heck, Kings also need new coach.

I would've chose Kidd over Marbury a couple of years ago as well, but he needs to start showing us the old Kidd again. I agree with Nash too, he makes everyone around him better. heck, Kidd was what Nash is now a couple years back.

As far as Nowitzki goes, it would be a tough decision between Tim, KG and Dirk...but I have to say Timmy because of the experience and the rings

After tonight's game no one can tell me that Mike Bibby is a good player. FG 1-16. When he was in the game Kings were down by 21. He went to the bench, Kings came back and were down by just 1. So, here we are, Kings down by 3 with 15 sec left. You know, a man would think that after missing all those shots Bibby will stop shooting. But nooooooooooo, he have to shot even though Stojakovic and Mobley are right there. Air ball, Supersonics win.
I really hate him, I just wish he could get injured and stay away from the court. With him on the court, Supersonics will easy win next 3 games.
