Dyno Run - Have you done it? What Should one expect?
#1
Hi,
I have a '89 Fox GT with a rebuilt motor, mild cam, cold air intake, underdrive pullies and a smog pump delete. For exhuast I have stock headers, no cats, off-road H-pipe and some flowmasters, all 2 1/2 inch piping.
I am thinking of going to the Dyno guys this summer and my question is, do you think it is worth it, what can I expect (HP/Torque) and should I get a "custom tune" from them?
Thanks!!!

Yeah, 210rwhp was in the ball park that I was guessing. This mechanic guy that oversaw the rebuild was swearing up and down that is was a 300rwhp car, but thought that was a bit much.
Anybody know anything about getting a custom tune done via the Dyno?

With the mods you have, a dyno tune MIGHT net you 10HP. If you want to do a dyno run or two and see what you have and get a baseline, go ahead.
But I'd save the money on a tune for when you have more substantial mods and need some drivability back...
