ok lets say you have $2000 laying around
what bolt ons would you buy with this money in your personal opinion?

list what you would buy and the approximent hp you think you will have gained in the end

car=1992 8cyl mustang GT

anything you want to do with the money list, just no super or turbo chargers

thanks also...how much rwhp do you think a B303 cam will add to a stock engine?

i'm thinkin full exhuast, trickflow upper/lower, and trickflow twisted wedge heads thats a bit over $3000 but definatle worth the extra money

or i could go with:

full exhuast, trickflow upper/lower, and a new B303 cam + installation charges

that may be a bit over or under 2k ya know...give or take a little

If you can do the work yourself, you can swap the heads, cam, and intake for under 2k. That is by far the best bang for your buck. Second in my opinion would be gears. Exhaust is cool and all, but really wont net you that much power. Cai and pulleys will net you a little power, but not much at all really.

One more thing, if you are gonna change the intake, heads, or cam, do all of them at the same time. Alone, any one of those will not net you that much power. Only when you do all three will you see maximum benefit. What is the point in putting on afr heads, and bottleknecking them with a stock intake? Or putting a cam in, and it not being near as efficient because you dont have enough airflow to take advantage of the extra lift and duration. Do all three at once, that way the engine only gets torn down once, and you actually see a decent gain from the mods. Depnding on what type of heads, cam, and intake you go with, you can expect to put down anywhere from about 270 rwhp to 310 rwhp, with a stock gt putting down right around 210 rwhp.

see the way i see it i will do a full exhaust system and that will be about how much i'de lose to the rear wheels and everything after that will be added to however much its gonna add to the rear wheels so full exhuast not counted everything else i'll count as rear wheel hp

example:
full exhuast rwhp gain=0
but now intake rwhp gain=full
heads frwhp=full
s
so say all my mods add like 175 hp
well subtract the 50 added from the exhuast and thats how much got added to the rear wheels about (125)

You shouldnt have to notch the pistons in order to run a b cam with afr heads, providing you are running standard lift rockers. Check out http://www.streetstangs.net

the afr takes a 220 degree duration at .050 but the B303 has a 224 degree duration at .050

Yea, post your question in the 5.0 section. I believe one of the buys there is running afr heads with more a cam that has more lift than a b cam.

Full exhaust (def. LT's), upper/lower intake, gears, cam if possible. Also, remember, you can always use ebay. Now if you go on ebay you can really get some nice stuff for 2k.

I'd go with a used blower, but since you don't want that, heres my list: cam, intake, nitrous and the required upgrades to work with the spray. I think that'd be your best bang for the buck.
