93 2.3 spark plugs

93 2.3 spark plugs

i need to replace my spark plugs on my 2.3 i have the 8 plug system. any one have any suggestions on how i can get to the ones on the driver side of the head?

Easy! Plug wire pliers, new plug wires, Spark Plug socket with rubber insert 1/4 drive long long extension. Straight shot to all of them once you get the wires off. New wires as I have had all of mine stuck on and ended up ripping the boots.

im talking about the 4 plugs on the driver side of the head the upper intake runs over them and makes it nearly impossible to access them with extensions. i dont trust swivels to well especially on something as delicate as plugs

I did it with a swivel and extension didn't hurt the car. That's the only way you can get them out without taking apart the intake

I was also #1 simple to get at once you clear the alternator. Simply loosen and flip out of the way. #2 only slightly difficult with extension due to throttle cable linkage mount. #3 extension right between the intake runners. #4 just get the extension through the fuel rail area and you are home free. I didn't use a single swivel. Light is your fiend so you can see the plug angle cake....
