85 horn issues

Have a 1985 mustang, I put a gt grant steering wheel and the horn was working. Recently got a alarm system and I'm not sure if that messed up my horn.. The other day I went to push my horn and nothing happened, today I took the horn cap off and everything was still connected. I turned my steering wheel to the right and it started to honk at a certain position, I put the cap back on and still no horn and it stopped honking wen I turned it to the right. Any ideas? I couldn't find the horn, where is it? Thanks

Pull the wheel and clean the contact rings on the column and nubs on the adapter. Or vice versa (Been awhile). I had a Turbo Coupe that the cruise control would stop working when I turned the wheel to a certain point. Pulled the wheel and the copper was all green and corroded, a little scotchbrite pad action and a light smear of lithium grease and was all fine.
