351w in fox
#1
About to put a 408 in my fox and need to know about roller lifter and flywheel. Was told I can use my stock flywheel from my 302 as long as i balance the bottom end with it. Is this true? I thought 302 were 50oz and 351w were 28oz. And roller lifter. Can I take roller lifters from a 302 and the spider and install into the 351w? Was told they make a retrofit kit because the oil boss are different. :bang: Going crazy HELP

Secondly the lifters....I've gone through this personally....you cannot use the stock roller lifters and spider because the lifter bosses are shorter...in you use the stock hardware you will have to run a small base circle cam in order for it to work...your best bet is to use the link-bar retrofit lifters that Crane sells....not cheap but neither is the other option so you are stuck either way. Each way will run in the $400 range. At least if you use the retrofit lifters you can run a standard cam and not have to go the custom small base circle route.
