that's an awesome and unique car right now I like those rims, most of those years have the Mag 500's so that gives it originality, that was the first thing i noticed. Do you have a 351 Cleveland or Windsor?

I'm with Tanner, your car is pretty special the way it is. How many of those do you see driving around town? ^_^

If you are seeking performance, dual exhaust, 4V carb and intake, ported heads, new cam, and electronic ignition. If you are going after cosmetic, new seats, stereo, engine dress up, tinmted windows, stripes, hood scoop. Is it a daily driver or a racer or a show car?

My route was to go stock unless the cange could not be detected. Mine is a show car and only gets 800 miles a year.

I drive ours all the time, I'm not looking to drastically change it, just maybe an Intake and exhaust, apparently is has a "limeted edition transmission and a large rear end" says the mechanic, I'm still researching the car. Where do you suggest i go for parts?

Carb-holley, Intake-Edelbrock or Weiand, exhaust-I don't know Hooker always makes good headers. you can order a Jeg's catalog for free and it has a lot of parts in it! Shipping is slow though and i get my magazines late and torn up, but its worth the wait there are so many parts, or ebay is a cheap and more effecient way, just research your parts!

Yup, go with a 4 bbl setup and dual exhaust, maybe with headers. Simple bolt-on performance enhancement. Do keep all the old intake and exhaust maninolds and carb and emissions stuff in the garage if you ever want to go back to stock.

clevelands hmm how about putting a 400M crank in there? then you'd have the extra 49cubes along with a new intake, carb, and maybe a port job on the heads, i'd say that'd be a sweet ride!

dont go with magnums though, those five slots have a great old school look and almost everyone with a 71-73 hase magnums.

oh and i second the spoiler/chin spoiler thing. maybe a NASA hood? does it have the mach1 grille? cuz thats another cool thing to do to it....

anyhoo, have fun! i love those old 71-73s

Ok, so i did some photoshops of the car

as of now we have put in an all new soundsystem, and it is going in this weekend for
:w00t: AIR CONDITIONING!!

once that's done we need to replace the convertible top because it leaks like crazy, and then we are going to start on the intake/exahaust and the first big project will be the interior, which is just kind of warn out.

until then..... um....... keep on keepin on? (i need a cooler way to end these)

edit: i had to crapify the pic to make it small enough to upload, so don't judge me

While many of these cars might have Magnum 500 rims, not so many have 17" Magnum rims, so you may consider that. Also, I once saw a 71-73 Vert that was modified to look more like the 69-70 Shelby it was modeled after and it looked incredible. They had added the side scoops & roll bar and changed out the tail panel and rear deck lights then made some type of custom grille and left all the bumpers and such chrome and this thing totally looked like a horse of a different color. They even changed out to the old door handles, I am almost sure I saved several pics of it on a Zip drive when I got rid of my old computer, I'll see if I can find them this week.

took it in today for the air conditioner, new rear shocks and a full exhaust! I hope it sounds good, we still need to make the decision on mufflers, i'm searching for sound clips, so if anyone has/knows where i can find some clips they would be greatly appreciated

the only bad part is i'm stuck driving my '94 volvo for 2 weeks!

and i've been debating whether to use 17" magnums or Bullitts, depends on what color my dad is thinking of painting it in the future, The Blue is starting to grow on me, but i still like black

I like the rims you have on it right now, you see so many 71-73's with mag's or bullitts

i do like the rims, they just don't fill out the wheel well like i like, but they have some nicks and dings in them but that decision is a while away.
