Shakes and rattles
One of the most annoying things when owing a 40-year plus car is the rattles, shakes, and shimmies. In a wonderful world of aftermarket and reproduction parts things don't fit the way you like too or not at all. I also would like to know if you guys even have this issue or I'm just going crazy.
Please post any system you may have devised to track and eliminate the rattles after you have but a car together. I know it will never be like new but I would like to have a way to track and eliminate these annoyances if possible.

Near as I can tell, they just rattle. Wind noise gets me. I'll be damned if I can get the windows so they'll seal tight and still be able to easily open the door.
Ah, well, the windows are mostly down anyway. . . . .

I had some wind problems at the a-pillar, but I put some black tape on the weather stripping and plugged the hole....cant even tell its there...but my door still squeeks when the window is rolled up, so i just keep it down....I onlt drive it when its warm anyway!!
I last year I applied foam tape to the mounting points of the fiberglass and plastic panels in the rear of my car. It made a big difference, a lot of little squeaks were gone.
Since I had the interior out for the paint and body work I decided to make a greater effort at reducing the noise level. I did some searches and research and found a paint on noise reducing paint. I am in the process of applying this product to the interior metal surfaces now.

I am also going to apply Reflectix (foil faced bubble wrap) to the backside of the rear interior panels. I have purchased some of the Dynamat self stick squares and will apply those to the interior of the doors.
After all of this I hope that the car looses most if not all of the noises you described, time will tell.
