old motor, new tranmission

so I've heard of the t5 swap... it can be done and its popular.


what are the chances of being able to bolt a TR3650 to a 289? anyone know? Paul?

No one that I know of makes a bellhousing to mate the 3650 and a 5.0 together. If that wasn't an issue, it still wouldn't fit because of the shifter location, crossmember mount location, and length.

I'm not an expert I just dug this up on another forum, someone also said the shifter locoation would make this difficult, also that the bellhousing is integrated into the tranny (like a c6) so you would have to have an adapter plate between the bellhousing and engine. Why are you interested in this swap? Why not go the t5 route?
