I have a '69 Mach 1 with a 351W and I was wondering if I can pull the oil pan off without raising the motor? The pan has been scraped at one time or another and is creased right next to the drain plug and I can't get a tight seal to keep the oil from dripping out. I'm probably going to replace the pan now if I don't have to go to too much trouble. It looks like I have clearance, but I don't know about getting it past the oil pump.

I put in a Canton 7qt pan in mine without taking the motor out, pretty sure you will need to remove the motor mount bolts though and lift the engine from underneath with a jack to give you clearance.

It was a few years back that I did this but I know I did it without a hoist. Just a little creativity under there!

yeah you'll probably have to lift the motor a little to get clearance, i did it last week.
