NEEDING INFO ON A 1968 RAINBOW OF COLORS PROMOTIONAL CAR I HAVE
A buddy of mine has a car sitting at my house that was passed down to him by his dad, im interested in buying it, so tonight I looked up the vin number and it says it is a special order car, and also found out it was one of the rainbow of colors promotional cars. My question is how rare are these cars? I know a lot of these were purchased in California and that is were my buddy is from! Just looking to get a little more insight into the car! Thanks Guys The door plate #S are

Yep, Marti report will tell you a ton. A must if you are thinking about buying it...if not, you can score brownie points with your friend.
I think I read an article about the rainbow of colors promotion. It was a series of non-standard colors you could order from the factory-no clue how many there were, google for a mustang monthly article about special order mustang. I'm curious what color it is - any pictures?

Thanks Guys, ill check into getting a Marti report. The car was originally red from what my buddy said and his dad had painted it baby blue many years ago Just going off of what I have read about these rainbow cars, there was only one color that was red and that's the flower power red so im guessing that's the original color. Looking at some of the spots that's flaking off you can see the reddish orange color and I believe flower power red was the same? The paint code is blank on the door badge, im hoping the marti report will have it, but im guessing not?
