One Owner 1966 Shelby GT350 For Sale
Wish I had the money. Needs a bit of work though.

from the article:
This 1966 Shelby GT350 is a claimed authentic car on sale by its original owner. Though sold without an original motor the car does run a correct solid lifter 289, the seller adding that legitimacy can be verified with included purchase documents as well as all original Shelby components barring the engine. Used minimally since the early 90’s, current running order isn’t mentioned but the car does seem to be a nice driver as presented. Find it on eBay in West Farmington, Ohio with reserve not met at $61k at the time of writing.

Seems like a rough cutout where the vin is screwed in, the vin plate on all the Shelby's I've seen we're on the driver door above the door latch and riveted (just like regular mustangs) not in the engine bay. I mean yea there's a vin on the passenger side but not an actual vin plate like shown, it's stamped... Idk I'd go look at it to make sure and ask the seller for full vin number and search it up, lots of money to loose if faked like it seems.
There is supposed to be Shelby American VIN plate located on the top of the left side inner fender lip, so the photo provided is indeed correct. The rough cut-out is fairly typical, but usually they're more sharp edged. The one pictured seems like it's been bondo'd.
The screwed on VIN plate is the red flag. VIN plates on all cars are riveted for obvious reasons.
