Can anyone please help me with this, i bought motor mounts for my 1969 mustang, it has a 71 351W engine. once i got the insulators installed on the block, and the frame mount brackets on the frame. i dropped the engine in and the insulator is not wide enough to bolt in by about an inch. has anyone ever heard of this before and or can tell me what i've done wrong?

Are you sure the new motor mounts are correct? Did they look like the old broken?) ones? Don't tighten the bolts until everything hooks up.

the mounts from the 71-up cars won't work on the 69/70 cars, you'll need to get mounts for the 69
