I'm honestly scratching my head a little. I found the same thing: 66, 8 3/4", 3.50. I THOUGHT 65-68 were either 8 or 9 inch. It is possible that the source o the two sites we looked at is the same, and incorrect. Please set me straight!

Looks like someone was very liberal with spray lube... Lol Anyway nothing seems to be leaking., but I'll keep an eye on it... Joe
If the exhaust works and is in decent shape, I would leave it if you're happy with it. I don't now about performance vs other exhaust types.

I would wipe down everything that appears wet and see if it reappears, just so you know.if it is an issue, I think that can be serviced without removing the axle - just disconnect the driveshaft, and remove the third member. Getting the crush washer just right is apparently tricky, so either lots of YouTube instruction, or take it to a shop. But honestly, if it winds up being a very slow weep, I wouldn't worry too much about it until you have reason to take things apart, just keep an eye on fluid level.

My guess is unoriginal. But I was also unaware that the 8.8 was available that early

Good Tip! I'll clean her up and start looking for a leak...

Upon furthur inspection and looking at the tag closer this is what I came up with...

the Top Line is WCZ F ...and the Bottom Line is 3 0 5EC 911

...BTW - that makes a lot more sense so I'm assuming it is the stock rear end. So, that leads to my question...is a stock 8.0 rear end OK with a 302?

Five bolts on all the wheel hubs? Disc or drum brakes in front?

Five bolts, with drums all around...Must be new or something because she stops really well, but I do see a disc brake in my future!
