Green or Blue Dash LED's

I'm looking at switching the dash lights on my 68 Fastback to LED for a brighter display.

Now, I've had this car in my family for 40 years and some change..... As I recall the display always looked green to me.

Looking at people selling the LED's for the dash on ebay, mustangproject.com and a few other places, they all say that the dash was meant to be blue tint and they've faded to green over the years. So they try to get you to purchase the blue LED's but do sell the green ones.

Can anyone confirm or deny that they should be blue instead of green?

if you take the guage bezel off...you will see that the lights behind are white. there should be some kind of blue gel barrier screen that chnge the color of the lights to green. Its difficult to change the color becuase of this...some companies make complete guage kits for this purpose.
