The badge is adhesive backed - sticks right on. Runs under $10.

I have to admit. It does look better than a Smuckers lid.

"Finished" product for Dan66 & bnickel....
Thanks "EVERYBODY" for the ideas.

That's a 1970 pop-open cap with a 68 Shelby center emblem. Total cost was under $80, less the $32 I got selling the 65 cap....
hey bob that looks awesome, thanks for posting pics of the finished product

Here is a pic of the cap I was talking about. I hope to be able to work on this in the next month or so.

Did anyone catch Overhaulin' last night? The cap they used on the Challenger looked alot like this one. Pretty cool, IMO.

Yes that looks darn close to the Challenger cap and I thought the same thing. BTW Troy is the master, and Joe Rogan is a meathead for picking all silver (If you watched Rides too).

That 'Cuda was a BEAST! I thought the silver was a good idea until I saw it and then I wasn't as impressed. He should have stuck to the original scheme.

At least it wasn't silver stripes on a bright yellow.

Speaking of gascaps, was this one mentioned yet?

If you are early in your builds, you could put this one in:

You should be able to find it for less and in other configurations, but that one is electric (opens itself) and retails for $295 according to: http://www.musclemustangfastfords.co...4mmff_gasdoor/

It's also the same diminsions as a Bullitt fuel door, so it's likely way too big anyway.
