Been thinking about putting the 40th Fender Badge (off the 2004 GTs) on my pop open cap, if it can cover teh stock holes for the current GT badge.

Already have one in the grill.

40th Anniversary badges on a 67? What are you celebrating, the introduction of the Model A?

That looks great Dan!

Does the lower lip over-hang the bevel at the bottom of the tail light panel? Hard to tell from the pic. Certainly doesn't mess up the look, I was just curious.
Thanks, Blake!

Yeah, it does hang over just a tad. For the most part - it doesn't stand out at all. It looks like a shadow if anything at all. The nice thing is the '70 pop-open uses exactly the same mounting holes as the '66. No drilling is necessary, and the swap can be reversed in 5 minutes.

Ah um, it's the 40th Anniv. of THE MUSTANG that's why they are on the 2004s from the factory, not because the 2004 Mustang itself is 40 years old.

But you knew that :worship:

Here is a pic of the cap I was talking about. I hope to be able to work on this in the next month or so.

The 2004 Mustang carries the badge because it IS the 40th Anniversary model. That emblem will continue to be relevant as the years go on. But putting a 40th emblem on a 67 makes no sense. It's essentially a bumper sticker that will need to be removed next year.

That's pretty cool looking. Interesting what one can find to adapt to an application, huh?

I ran the 35th emblem up until this year with no noticeable problems. If the emblem read "40th Anniversary EDITION" I might actually agree with you, for once

[OT]Coming to the Goodguys show this weekend?...[/OT]
No, I don't think so. We've been to Tulsa and Springfield in the last month so I need to catchup on yard work. Besides, I hate spending $60 to enter my car so they can charge everyone else $15 to come see it. It just seems wrong....

Followup - scored a new 1970 pop-open cap on Ebay last night...

Hoping the 68 Shelby emblem fits it - about 90% sure it will...

Just change the "COBRA" lettering to "CLONE"...

"Finished" product for Dan66 & bnickel....
Thanks "EVERYBODY" for the ideas.

That's a 1970 pop-open cap with a 68 Shelby center emblem. Total cost was under $80, less the $32 I got selling the 65 cap....
