first and second generation magazines
You can read alot of archived Mustang Monthly articles on the web as well as search virtual catalogs. Create yourself a spread sheet to list parts, prices and sources as you find them. No one supplier is better than the other nor are their parts. Cheap usually is.
I like using Mustangs Unlimited and Summit Racing for my parts. I use summit primarily for some of my drivetrain parts, and gauges. Everything else I've bought has been from Mustangs Unlimited or CJ Pony Parts.
I'm new to the classic mustang community, but I've found that National Parts Depot has a great magazine for parts... http://shop.autocraftinvestments.com...rent=2763&pg=1 ...Dearborn Classics http://www.dearbornclassics.com/ is mostly everything but mustangs (but you could find some cross listed/hard to find parts)....
I'm not yet familar with a good 1st/2nd gen stang magazine... "Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords" has mostly modern models... "5.0 Mustangs & Super Fords" gets you a little older... Hot Rod magazine is generic...
What I plan to do is keep an eye out at car shows this summer... I'll keep you updated if i find anything good
