Engine oil, Transmission and Power Steering fluid

I recently purchased a 1966 Mustang 289 C-code with Automatic trans and power steering. After noticing the car leaks, today I checked the engine oil dipstick and it seems to be 3/4 on the dipstick, So im gonna do an oil change an monitor the levels.

I’m surprised the transmission oil leaks and the level is low but the transmission was rebuilt a few months earlier I have receipts and pics. What should I do about it and where is the filler cap for the trans oil?

The Power steering fluid reservoir seems empty I have attached some pics (phone camera)

For the auto transmission and Power steering im supposed to use only (type-f automatic transmission fluid) correct?

Congrats on your new Mustang. I have a 65 "C" code. And I've spent way too much money on it!

You fill the trans throught the tube shown in pic #4. I would go back to the shop that overhauled it to get the leak fixed. It cost me $1800 to have mine overhauled. Another item in a long list of items I've done to mine since I got it about 10 months ago.

The power steering takes the same fluid as the Auto trans does. Ford type F. I didn't know that, so I put power steering fluid in it which screwed it up and I had to have them overhaul that as well. You might have a leak there as well.

The engine oil for these old cars needs to contain zinc since most of the modern oils don't have this. A oil called Rotella is good since it contains zinc. That fill prevent your engine from wearing out as quickly. You can also use an Zinc additive such as ZDDP with regular engine oil.

Can you post some more pics of the exterior of your car? Good luck with your car!
