Thumbs up

1st post. I'm wondering what parts I can use off a 77 mercury monarch besides the disc brakes and the spindles and tie rod ends? Also I have a chance to buy 1989 Mustang GT with the 5L and AOD trans and am wondering also what is transferable to my 66 ? My 66 currently has 6cyl and auto trans and I would like to maximize the use out of the donor cars.

The only other thing usable from the Monarch MIGHTbe the rearend housing - some had 9"... but the gearing is lousy.

The 5.0 car can be a drivetrain donor - possible use the engine & tranny if they're good.

Don't forget that if you upgrade to the 302, you should upgrade your brakes and suspension to V8 standards as well.

Check the gear ratio of the rearend. Many of them had 3.25 gears in 8" housings.
