Hi, I have just purchased a 67 coupe and the window does not roll up without assistance...common problem. I got a replacement window regulator and pulled the door panel off to remove the 3 screws holding the glass assembly to the regulator and they were very rusty. Needless to say two of the three were already rounded out. So I bought a ez out kit to drill them out. Unfortunately I over torqued the ez out and snapped it right in the screw darn! Tried drilling out the bit, hah, you all probably know how that worked out. Looking at the internet it lists the only option as Electical Discharge (melting it out).

I was wondering is it possible to remove the entire assembly (window channel pieces and regulator) by removing all the felt and rubber and door jam rubber? It would be much easier to work with outside the car door. Then buying the other parts and replacing the entire assembly.

Any asstance would be usefull as I am out of ideas.

I had the same issue. I gave up on getting the glass out and propped it with a stick. I managed to get a new regulator installed with a lot of sweat, a little blood, and a lot of time. Three atttempts before it worked. After repainting the areas I nicked and waiting for the cuts to heal, I was very happy to have a driver window that works. Passenger side is next.
