? on '65 disc brake upgrade ?

I just rescued a 65 Coupe, and am planning on getting it back on the road ( over a few years I'm sure). I've been looking at a front disc brake conversion, which uses the originial 6 cyl spindles. Does anyone have this kit, and do you know if it will work with the original 14" steel factory rims( the type that hold the hubcaps) ? I'd like to do some upgrades to the car, without spending a mint ( such as having to get new rims etc...)
Thanks for any input !

I would email the company that produces the kit to ask about what wheels will fit.

Wink No

I think you will find that the kits for upgrading the brake to discs are all using the V8 spindles.
Some kits come with the spindles, but you will probably still need a 14" wheel with more clearance or a 15".
Until the other stuff on the car is back to full running condition, I just do new drums and shoes. It will stop fine, just not fast.
At this point you may have to change lines and cylinders etc..
Get the rest of the car intact, then worry about conversions.
