1967 Special Orders?

I have a quick question. I saw a Vehicle Info number and more importantly the Miscellaneous Vehicle Data stamp on a car and under Axle and Transmission it had nothing, and then 0, which don't match up to any codes that I've seen. The owner says the car was special ordered and therefore that's the reason it's like that. Does that sound legit? The car has a 4-speed manual transmission in it which he says is original, and i know it's atypical, so I want to make sure there's nothing fishy about it.

I ran the marti report and figured it out. The door plate number just has an error on it. 0 was for the Axel and 5 is for the transmission. I'm 90% going to pick up this car so will report back with pictures soon

Body's in really nice shape. I couldn't find a dent on the thing, it's very clean. Paint's original, interior's original, not much has been changed in this car, which is great though the engine compartment wasn't taken care of as you can see:

The car does run, it's just very dirty and needs some cleaning out. The car had been sitting in a garage for about 3 years so all the oil's bad, needs a buncha new hoses and plugs, the pretty standard stuff. It does run though, so I can still drive it while I work on it. Need to clean up the rusty bits and make sure everything's hit with WD40 (the clutch noise it makes is like nails on a chalkboard).

Interior's pretty clean, just aged. Needs a new dash, wheel needs to be resurfaced, colors are fading on the door panels but otherwise pretty clean, also all original (except for the stereo mounted below the dash).

I'm very happy with it. It's a great place to start with very little defects, just some surface and cosmetic stuff. I'll get her perfect over time. I was looking for a 65 but when I saw and drove this car I fell for her. I love the color scheme and the fact that it's a factory 4-speed. Now I gotta make a list of all the goodies I want...

Question: were the original side mirrors movable? I'm wondering if they put the right ones on here upon replacement. I'm also noticing that for replacement rear view mirror all of the ones don't have the correct looking lever that adjusts for the glare that I've seen on certain parts sites. They seem to have a round device at the bottom instead.

Wrong outside mirrors and I think the inside is also wrong, My 1967 or 68 didn't have mirrors like that
Also mine were movable mirrors

That's a good looking car. I wouldn't sweat the small stuff, even if the mirrors are wrong (and I don't know if they are)

I couldn't tell fom your picture but if your wanting to get a clock gauge for your cluster go to LA Mustang and you'll be able to find one! I looked for months because mine was missing and that was the only thing I got deducted points for at shows. It's fairly cheap as well! They also have tailight bezels for pretty cheap of yours are tarnished.

it is unique that it has a 4 speed .. i remember us stripping a T5 with a 302 4 speed when i worked at the junkyard in the early 70`s ...

Well I thought I posted earlier but it didn't show up for some reason.

Yes, the car is really straight, it doesn't even have any door dings which is amazing considering this is absolutely original paint.

The more I'm looking into the mirrors, the more like it seems that they are wrong. I know someone said don't sweat the small stuff, but that's exactly what I intend on doing with this hobby I want it perfect!

It being a 4 speed was pretty much why I hounded the guy for it, that and the condition obviously.
