Smile Question

I have a 64.5 Mustang 289 cid. D motor. What is the torque Specs for Intake manifold and timing settings? What is step one ft lbs of torque, second, and last?

There should be torque specs on specific engine bolts in the Mustang shop manual. I know the intake manifold torque specs are in there.

there are as many ways to torque the intake as there are intakes out there .. google search shows many .. i just put the thing on and tighten it down .. google says start at 5 ft lbs and go up to 20 in 5 increments then wait a day and final torque to 22 ft lbs .. skip around from side to side to get equal crushing effect .. i dont know about the timing .. i raise mine till it pings then back off till it quits ...

I only have the 66 specs, but surely the same. If you plan to do stuff like intakes, you should probably invest in a manual. This one is $30 from CJ Pony Parts.

Here's the order and spec for 66. First step 15-17, then 20-22.

I think I install my new heater cable wrong. Now lever up have heat, lever down no heat. How can I fix it because I can't find it on google or Bing search?
