1967 Rear
Rear gears were options, so we can't tell you. You need to contact Ford and get a 999 report or contact Kevin Marti at Marti Autoworks and order a report for your car which would be on record. The Marti report will cost you depending on how fancy of a report you get. The 999 report from Ford is free, but will just present what data they want to give you. The number for the 999 report is in Mustang Monthly each month.
Typically, a stock 289 C code would probably have a 2.80, 2.83 or 3.00 gear I would guess.

Or..... Check to see if your fender VIN and door VIN match. If they do you could check the data plate on the driver's door and decode the information there using this link.

The reason they have to match is that a lot of times the driver's doors have been replaced and may not have the correct information for your particular car.

With the 289-2V and auto, a 2.80:1 was standard. The 3.00:1 was optional, along with limited-slip.
3.25, 3.50, and 3.89's were available with the hi-performance V8s.
2.83 & 3.20 were available with the 6-cylinder.

Im sure its a 2.80.....thats the gear in 99% of C-code 289/C4 cars.
But find out for yourself! Jack up the rear, mark the driveshaft, and spin the wheel......
