trust me I don't blame anyone for the problem. I realize the kits so new he can't google an answer. I am just happy with the service his company and your company are providing to make this happen!

We aim to please. Please let other poster know about paint match. The artwork does look a little light, but it's a rendering. We put the actual parts in cars and fit and finish were perfect. Hope that is your impression as well.

Quick question about the USB ports - are they designed to connect to ONE or TWO inputs on the back of the Kenwood? I assume it's a 1:1 relationship, but just want to confirm...

They are simple female to male adaptors installed in the plastic. If you have two USB on your Kenwood you can connect both. If not connect one. There are also slots cut in upper corner in case you want to run a 30 pin with A/V. In that case you connect the USB to front part, run the A/V part through the hole, zip tie the cable in back to the supplied mount and plug into radio.

It is all more clear once you have kit in your hands..

Great to see you have it in hand! I called Crutchfield earlier and they said maybe in a week they would start selling it-it shows in their computer but not ready to sell! A couple of questions if some one would be so kind (to be used with a DNN770HD);

Do the USB ports coming off the sync module still work? (I have a flash drive in the glove box for USB 2).

Does the USB and 3.5mm plugs in the center console still work?

Can I use the existing Sirius sat radio I have an account for?

Thanks and I will get the unit no matter what!

Yes both USB1 and USB2 from Sync will work. You can route UBS2 onto one of the connectors in the pocket if you like (if the Kenwood you choose only had one USB for example).

For Sat radio, SiriusXM is going to not let you transfer your subscription. Feel free to call and yell at them, but those calls typically only go two ways - bad or worse. You may be able to get them to give you some free service on your new tuner but YMMV.

Cheers,

Thanks 12v Guy.
Will the 3.5mm plug in the center console still work or be adaptable?
I appreciate your time helping us out!

Yes, it is part of Sync and works just like now. So long as NO USB media is plugged into Sync, the GUI in Kenwood will default to Line In.

Cheers,

I gotta say very happy I waited because the metra and scoshe look terrible compared to this unit. I really think it looks oem.

I am trying to figure out if I can get sync to work

it was a terrible wait but worth it
