Chicago Seller Seeks $80K for This Beat Up ’66 Shelby GT350
Anybody here think the car pictured above is worth $80,000?
In all honestly, when we first stumbled on the Craigslist ad for this original ’66 Shelby GT350H, we thought someone had mistakenly added one too many zeroes.
The seller’s statement that the Mustang needs “restoration” seems to be putting it a little mildly, especially considering that there aren’t any real details on the car’s condition. But then again, if you know anything about classic Shelbys, you’re aware that a mint condition model can run you a lot more than $80K.
Heck, there’s a ’65 race model GT350 currently listed on Hemmings for a whopping $440,000. Yup, nearly half a million.
In all fairness, as you can see in the gallery below, the seller of this ’66 does have an appraisal that values the car at $68,000. He also states that he’s open to negotiating. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has to dip well under that $70,000 mark to get it sold.
