Chalk up another win for Bama Performance. The company has broken the world record in the quarter-mile for a naturally aspirated 2015 Mustang with a time of 11.2 at 121 mph, and they’ve got the paperwork to prove it.

That beats the previous 11.77-second record set by Ford Racing by more than half a second. Even more impressive, Bama beat the time with only a few modifications including a full exhaust system, intake, minor suspension work, weight reduction, slicks and skinnies, and a Bama 93 Octane Track tune.

With a lot of shops just now getting their hands on the new Mustang, there are certain to be a few taking a shot at Bama’s new world record, but it’s pretty clear at this point — Bama will be the company to beat, as it appears they have a few more things planned to improve the S550’s performance.
