The radio is removed from a 2013 and I dont have a factory amp. After Christmas I plan on running a aftermarket amp.
My Question is with these 3 parts missing will the radio still work? Obviously I won't have sound. I am mainly concerned about having heat as I drive less than 5 miles to and from work and can do without a radio.
Thanks
Hi,
AR3Z-10E929-A. Is part of the dash harness. Not needed. You can run everything, you just don't have sound and gps, if you are missing the Amp and splitter harness.

Thanks for the help. I am now thinking I didn't get the correct harness as mine does not have the correct plug.
*If anyone can post a pic of the correct plug I would be grateful

if all you missing is the amp and the slipper then yes you will still have all your other base functions. if you have all the correct parts IE. The climate control module and the faceplate radio and screen then you should be good. I am re quaking my amp and I don't have the splitter and I get heat.

Hey guys I have followed all the instructions but have been having issues with the second amp install. I went from a trunk mounted soundstream hooked up by my LC2i. But there was a constant high pitch wine that became annoying. So i went to a Alpine KTP445u. Now i get a loud pop after the head unit turns off. I dont know what to o with the blue wire that says MainAux3 clip detect.

They basically consolidated the woofer and speaker Amp into one.

Is the blue wire in the first picture.

Adding nav into 2014 gt

I have a 2014 gt premium and I would like to do the nav install. I bought a set from a wrecked 2014 that had the dash harness, screen, radio unit, dash panel with heated seats, climate control module. I read that since its 13 and up that already has an amp I don't need to buy one. I want the dual climate control and I have a list of parts from reading the forum but I'm unclear which I would need since I have the newer model years. Also how do I take out the entire dash board to swap out all the harnesses?

Well if I can chime in a bit. Honestly I did the whole install alone and with out taking out the dash. I didn't do the dual climate install. all the info and parts you need is with in the first few pages. To remove the dash its all about removing panels and the screws that hold it down to the body. Once you get the screws out it will take two people if you don't want to ruin the dash. If you have a premium a lot of the parts should already be in there. I started with a base model and put sync, navi, back up camera, and my own amp.

Adding nav into 2014 gt

Another question I have since I have never anything like this before is I have both the vin to my car and the car that I bought the pulled out nav from. While looking at ford parts for the parts I need many of them that I already have in the car and in the wrecked one have the same part number but different descriptions. If they have the exact same part number does it matter if the description is different?

Adding nav into 2014 gt

Also I see a lot of the parts needed to do the install but as I was looking I saw a lot of people have 2010-12 which I found are built somewhat differently the 13-14 generations. If someone who completed the install into a 2013-14 gt premium with the dual climate control could give me a list of the parts they needed I would really appreciate it.

Hostly again i am no expert but i had alot more to do since i was a base model brembo gt 2014. The prt numbers are practicall the same. The only difference i came across was the build years. So prior to 2013 the first 4 characters might be different. Vice our model which might starts with ER3t. When you go to the ford part website premium or not wont matter becuase they are interchangable. Minus like you dash harness which is made for what ever features you have. Perfect example i have a sync moduale from a 2012 v6 mustang, a 2011 head unit, 2013 gt500 screen, a 2012 dash bezel, a 2013 mustang dash wire harness with build date 6/13 like it says on my door. It all works together now. If you already have the parts then all you will need is the main item. Radio, bezel, with controls heated seats or not a new dash wireharness to plug in the navigation system, 4 pin sun visor sensor. i think i forgot the splitter. But you already have amp, sirius antenna, mic and sync, steering wheel button, and usb connection in center counsol.

This is from a V6 Premium, but the V6/GT difference wouldn't matter for most of the stuff, except for maybe the harness. For that, I would contact a dealer and find out what you need to be sure (it needs to be for whatever options you have. If you can find a VIN that has the options you do with nav, then you can give them that so they can look it up)

Nav ACM (ER3T-somesuch. I can't find it, but it came from a 2013 GT500 that had heated seats and no backup camera, which is what I wanted since I was going to keep my mirror backup display)

Display - DR3Z-10E899-A

Center Console Bezel - Can't find the exact part number, but they're all really the same so long as it has/doesn't have the heated seats for whatever your need is.

I bought the above from various wreck ebay auctions so my part numbers are a bit all over the place, but they shouldn't matter. I did make sure that the Nav ACM was a DR3T or ER3T since those are the 2013/2014 model years for it, which supports the mobile apps fully, which the older ones don't.

CR3Z-19980-B
Dual Climate Control Module

Bought the dual climate module from a user on here since I was sent the wrong one from the Ford dealer and didn't realize it until it was way too late to return it.

The rest of these I just bought directly from a Ford dealer so I'll just copy and paste my order here (I am pretty sure these prices are no longer accurate for some of these things, but that's what they were when I bought them and I am too lazy to remove them for this posting):

DR3Z-14401-KC
WIRING ASY - MAIN
$169.11

Oh, and a little info for anyone that cares. The new maps are out from navigation.com. It is supposed to officially support the 2013/2014s now, which it technically didn't before. Mine come in Monday (which was originally Thursday, but FedEx Smartpost is terrible here). Hopefully they actually have my apartment in it now. I am tired of driving in the middle of a field, according to the nav.

does anyone know if there is an audio plug that runs to the drivers side that would run the drivers door and the drivers side rear? I have everything hooked up and no matter what I do I can't get sound to the drivers side.

badboyz1620, I am running the same amp like we talked awhile back and I am getting a nasty pop after I turn it off as well, have you found anything out on that?

I called Alpine and they told me to run constant power so I did, and still get the pop. My next step is to get the amp benched tested so I can eliminate that from the equation. I started to get something else. When I get in my car in the morning I don't get any sounds. I Would have to raise the volume to make it come back on.

I got mine working. I moved the remote turn on from the lc6i and ran it from the deck harness instead. That eliminated my turn off pop.

I imagine something may be wrong with my climate control harness, but any idea why I only have air conditioning. No matter what temperature I set it at, its always the same level cold air coming out. I can control the fans, but not the temperature.
