I just remembered that I have an XP license tucked away. I guess if Win8 gives me trouble, I can load it in VMware or VirtualBox.

If y'all really want to use Windows 7, as mentioned, you can get a free evaluation copy. And Windows 8 already has Hyper-V, so you can run it in that.
Or if you've just gotta have XP, Windows 7 (non-home edition) has a free XP mode in Windows Virtual PC.

OP here.
Got in touch with SCT and they had to remote load the file on the laptop.
Apparently it is affecting the windows 8.1 users (updated version) the most. David, the tech guy, said that was the only way for it to load was manual install from them.
Unless of course you go to an older version of windows.
But, still kind of a hassle just to get drivers loaded.
Finally, now I can try my Steeda tune!!!

How does it compare to your previous tune?
I gave Bama another chance to make it right and the latest tune has power, but only up top rpm.
My Steeda tune has that bang throughout the whole peddle, not just up top. Plus the part throttle response makes it a great DD.
Gus was great and asked me how I wanted the part throttle response and made sure my 1-2 shift wasn't too hard as I asked to make my shifts in the higher gears firmer.
I have not had a chance to compare them at the track yet due to a busy season at work.
My butt knows.
Edit: Apologies for off topic - you can pm me

Yes. It probably saves them time for having to retune for just a tire/rim change. Brilliant.

It feels more aggressive that my bama tune. I do, however, need to speak with TJ. For some reason the car will rock or shake at idle. Almost like it has that cam idle tune. No sure if this is something to do with the tune itself or if that cam tune was added to it.

I kills me how guys will waste hours of time and frustrate the hell out of themselves when a simple call to SCT had my tuner/Windows 8.1 sorted out in a matter of minutes. Just call SCT support....it's free!!!
