Coyote-Swapped C6 Corvette Renderings

While it’s unlikely these Coyote-swapped C6 Corvette renderings will actually come to life, it’s an amusing exercise, nonetheless.

It’s not exactly a secret that Ford and General Motors have been bitter rivals for many, many years to this point, and the same can be said of the enthusiasts backing each brand. Whether it’s trucks or sporty/muscle cars we’re talking about, the story is the same – F-150 and Super Duty owners poke fun at those that drive a Silverado or Silverado HD, and Mustang owners will argue until the end of time that their pony cars are superior to the Camaro. Then there’s the matter of off-brand engine swaps – a highly controversial topic – and now, we have this Coyote-swapped C6 Corvette created by artist Abimelec Arellano to stoke those flames of fandom, too.

Obviously, this C6 Corvette isn’t real, but rather, a series of renderings created by Arellano, who admits that he’s “just messing around.” It’s not uncommon for the artist to sit around and conjure up all kinds of crazy ideas and then bring them to life artistically speaking, as he does such a thing on a regular basis. Regardless, these renderings also serve as one heck of a troll job, if we’ve ever seen one.

For starters, the mere thought of a Coyote V8 powering any kind of Corvette would certainly send the GM faithful into a rage, particularly since the C6 originally came equipped with some legendary LS-based powerplants from the factory. Removing one of them and replacing it with something made by GM’s bitter cross-town rival is controversial enough on its own accord, but there’s more to this story than that.

On top of all that, Arellano also decided to “paint” his sacrilegious C6 Corvette Grabber Blue – one of the most famous colors to ever grace the Mustang’s flanks. Otherwise, it’s a pretty sweet looking build with Weld wheels with huge slicks out back, a ProCharger giving the Coyote extra juice, and of course, a custom license plate touting the car’s controversial engine swap.

While we double anyone out there is going to actually stuff a Coyote V8 into a C6 Corvette, such a thing certainly isn’t impossible – after all, we’ve seen engine swaps in the past that didn’t make much sense, and yet, people did them anyway. Regardless, for now at least, we’ll just sit back, sip our tea, and read all the hateful comments on this post.
