You really don’t need much to sell someone on the appeal of a 1969 Boss 429. The mere mention of one pretty much sells the car. But this one owned by Richard Boeye, which was recently highlighted in a Mustang 360 report, is the kind that dreams are made of, and here are five good reasons why.

1. With only 49,000 miles on the odometer, the car is believed to be one of the most original ’69 Boss Mustang in existence.

2. Boeye has vowed the Boss will be maintained as a “museum piece,” and that he’ll never drive it or start it. His words not ours.

3. The Boss was restored to its original form by Bob Perkins, one of the most respected Mustang restorers in the country.

4. Boeye went to great lengths to have the Boss restored to its original form, even trading it for another restored model when he learned the car didn’t have its original drivetrain.

5. One of the car’s awards includes the 2015 Mustang Grand Nationals prestigious Authenticity Award in the Thoroughbred class, in which cars must score 98-percent of 700 points for using original parts.
