Project Source Horse made its third trip to
Walker Dyno
Tune today to mount the
Mustang Tuning
18x9" FR500 wheels,
Goodyear
Eagle F1 tires, to test the
JBA Headers,
and to get tuned by
BamaChips.
The wheels look great, but the Bullitt centercaps
don't fit the fronts because they don't clear the dust cap. We haven't
yet decided on a solution for that little problem.
The exhaust system on the 2005+ Mustang GT is
tuned so precisely in stock form, that the JBA Headers actually
decreased the horsepower by five. The SCT XCalibrator 2 tune from
BamaChips reversed that and added five horsepower from our previous
run with just the Magnaflow Catback, but we'll give that tune another
shot with 93 octane fuel in the tank instead of the 87 it had today. |
