This amazing, one-of-104 1984 Ford Mustang GT350 might just be the nicest one left on the planet.

There isn’t a pony car fan on earth that isn’t aware of the Shelby GT350, a truly iconic, high-performance version of the regular Mustang that has been produced across multiple generations. But few may realize that in the 1980s, a small handful of GT350 tribute cars were built and sold, all of them finished in Oxford White with red accents. This 1984 Ford Mustang GT350 is one of them, and it’s perhaps the nicest in existence. It’s also currently up for grabs on eBay, giving someone a rare opportunity to take home one of the cooler Fox Body Mustangs around.

Of the small group of 5,200 or so 1984 Ford Mustang GT350 cars produced, this is believed to be one of just 104 convertibles equipped with Ford’s turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder powerplant. In this case, that engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission to maximize the fun, even if these cars weren’t exactly powerhouses in an era full of slow vehicles. Regardless, it’s a truly cool find and a rare slice of pony car history, particularly since it only has 4,000 original miles on the clock.

As a result, this GT350 is in truly amazing condition, inside and out. It looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor, with shiny paint, a matching white soft top, and a contrasting red interior. Other notable features include “halo” bucket seats, unique wheels, and fog lights, which were all part of this special package. Throw in a bulging hood, and it certainly looks the part, if nothing else.

Of course, these Fox Body GT350 tributes were not exactly as quick or capable as the vehicles that lended them that namesake, but they’re still undoubtedly rare and cool. The asking price for this example – perhaps the nicest on earth – is a bit steep, however, at $25,900. However, in a world where the price of everything is a bit lofty at the moment, we would’t be surprised to see someone jump on this particular opportunity.
