Silly People, Your GT350R Doesn't Need Rear Seats

The Mustang Shelby GT350R is a hardcore piece of track-oriented machine. As such, it doesn’t come with back seats and a few other things normal cars have. It’s one of the selling points, at least it is to us. However, for the customers actually buying these cars, according to Ford, they want back seats for some reason. We don’t get it, but they’re the ones paying for it.

According to MotorAuthority, Ford’s Performance Boss Dave Pericak stated, “We always listen to customer feedback, so when many requested a back seat for their GT350R, we acted quickly to make it available.”

The back seat kit is offered straight through Ford Performance Parts and will set you back $999. The bench seat features the same Alcantara trim and contrast stitches as the racing seats up front, and seat belts.

But seriously, people, you buy a hardcore track car and want more weight? What’s wrong with you?
