2018 Roush Mustang

Seven different concepts ranging from mild to wild, and even a badass-looking cop car are headed to SEMA. But which one’s best?

The 2018 Mustang is making waves on social media ahead of its arrival in US dealerships. Ford couldn’t pass up the chance to show it off at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas early next month.

Ford has dubbed the set of pony cars “The Magnificent Seven” because there are, well, seven Mustangs. Each one of them has been designed with unique interpretations of power and performance, and with the intention of catering to individual audiences within the legions of Mustang lovers worldwide.

The custom-built, wide-body Roush Mustang you see above borrows its styling cues from the historic 1970 Boss 429. Finished in the commemorative hue of Ford’s Grabber Green, the Roush has an all new 2018 Mustang body kit in conjunction with a custom wide-body kit. It’s equipped with a cold-air intake, active quad tip exhaust with x-pipe, air gobbler ram air with Stratasys function hood scoop, and custom exhaust tips.

Overcoming Physics

Reaching 200 mph is no easy feat. It’s a number that few people get to experience on land. This redesigned 2018 Mustang Fastback is a perfect starting point to reach our goal. Implementing aerodynamics, reducing drag, and increasing power is the name of the game, and this Mustang will reach top speeds while the air conditioning is cranking. It’s equipped with a Hellion twin turbo kit, Mishimoto radiator, transmission cooler, and oil cooler, tuned by HP Tuners, G-Force driveshaft and rear axles, DEI exhaust wrap, Ford Performance by Borla exhaust.

The body was widened to fit Mickey Thompson 18-inch wide rear tires. The hood was specially designed to tie in both old and new muscle. Looking at this Mustang from any direction brings out a feeling of what it would be like to go fast in style.
