Roush & Indmar Bring Performance to the Lake This Summer
Not just for Mustangs anymore, Roush Performance drops its R3200 Supercharger onto Indmar Marine’s Raptor 575 engine for maximum wave-making.
One of the best ways to get the most out of your Mustang is to let Roush Performance bring it out. After all, their line of superchargers deliver the goods to your pony’s V8, whether it’s an upgrade or an add-on. And of course, you can always bring your newer Mustang (or F-150) up to Roush for one of their package upgrades. There’s nothing Jack Roush‘s shop can’t do.
And now, that includes your boat. This summer’s about to sizzle like never before, as Roush has teamed up with Indmar Marine to bring more power out of the latter’s Raptor 575 marine engine.
“ROUSH Performance showcases the Indmar 6.2-liter ROUSHCHARGED Raptor 575 marine engine and the 2020 ROUSH F-150 SC in its latest video, ‘ROUSH Performance x Indmar Marine Engines: Built for Life’s Adventures,’” the company said in a statement.
The tow rig, of course, is your F-150, plus some $24,000 (to start) to upgrade it to the Roush F-150 SC. The centerpiece of the package is Roush’s R2650 supercharger, ready to slam down 650 horses and 610 lb-ft of torque into your truck’s 5.0-liter V8. From there, custom active exhaust, some special body trim, and an optional chase rack beef up your F-150 like a full-service steakhouse. Thus, it’s the perfect representative to tow Roush’s newest collaboration to the lake.
Riding in back of this Tigé ZX wakeboard boat is Indmar’s Raptor 575. Based on Ford’s 6.2-liter V8 used in the Super Duty, the marine monster is topped by Roush’s R3200 supercharger. The total package is Indmar’s first emissions-certified, catalyzed and supercharged inboard marine engine. It also delivers 570 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque to the water. Thus, you’ll have plenty of power to charge across the lake like your favorite hydroplanes. Or, at least, give your wakeboarders a reason to hang on!
“ROUSH Performance and Indmar Marine Engines have a long history of performance and innovation,” says the company. “The two iconic performance brands have now come together to showcase supercharged horsepower on the road and in the water.”
