Here’s something you’ve probably never seen: a Mustang taking a trip to outer space. Yup, that’s right. A miniature model of the new 2015 Mustang was sent up in space for what we imagine is the first trip of its kind for the Ford pony car … or likely any other automobile.
Ask anyone to name a movie car chase scene, and the 1968 film “Bullitt” will likely top the list. The famous road race between the 1968 Mustang Fastback and the ‘68 Dodge Charger from the classic Steve McQueen film is considered one of the most iconic ever.
With only a few months left before the new 2015 Ford Mustang goes on sale, we’re getting a lot more antsy about a chance to get behind the wheel of the new car; however, for now we’re reveling in just about any and every visual we can get of the S550. The latest is a palette posted on the official Ford Mustang Facebook page showcasing all the available colors for the new car, which will start shipping to dealerships this fall.
There’s no such thing as boring battles when it comes to street racing. Generally, those who tend to compete feel they’ve got enough goods under the hood to put on a show. The latest race we’ve stumbled on is a showdown between a 900-horsepower turbo Fox-body Saleen Mustang and The Racing Channel’s own 850-horsepower 2JC Nissan 240SX.
